What is your shipping policy?
We ship domestically via UPS and internationally via Global Express Mail. Items are usually processed and shipped within two days. Cassettes orders may take slightly longer to process. The cost of domestic UPS shipping (Ground) for Comprehensive items is a flat rate of $14.25 per order. International shipping is $37.00 for one item. International shipping for multiple items is $56. VAT or Custom duties may be applicable depending on the policies of the country of receipt.
What is your Return Policy?
We cannot accept returns on Pimsleur courses that have been removed from the original shrink wrap for full credit after 30 days. Unopened packages may be returned within 30 business days. All sales between the Ultimate Language Store and its customers that have been faithfully fulfilled will be considered final. If delivery of an item is refused by the recipient for any reason other than previously agreed upon notification between the customer and seller, a restocking fee of 10% will be charged.
What do you learn at each level?
Upon completion of the Pimsleur Comprehensive Level I Program (30 lessons), you will have achieved spoken-language communication skills at an Intermediate-Low Level including the ability to participate in simple, direct conversations, satisfy immediate needs, like ordering food & making simple purchases; able to establish rapport with strangers in a foreign country.
Upon completion of the Pimsleur Comprehensive Level I and Level II (60 lessons), you will have achieved spoken-language communication skills at an intermediate-Mid Level including the ability to communicate personal meanings to native speakers by combining and recombining known elements and conversational input to correctly form sentences of increasing length.
Upon completion of the Pimsleur Comprehensive Level I, Level II and Level III (90 lessons), you will have achieved an Intermediate-High Level including the ability to converse with growing ease and confidence, narrate and describe in terms of past, present and future, using connected discourse of considerable conversational length.
What is the Pimsleur Method?
The Pimsleur Method centers around teaching, in the shortest time possible, functional mastery in understanding and speaking a language. You will be working on your vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation all at once, while also learning phrases that have practical use in daily life.
It has been said that language is primarily speech. With this concept in mind, Dr. Pimsleur created his language programs on audio because he knew that students of languages would learn better with their ears, not their eyes. This is achieved through what Dr. Pimsleur called "organic learning," which entails learning on several fronts at once.
His system enables the student to learn grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation in a natural and exciting way. This course is designed to teach you to understand and to speak the essential elements of your new language in a relatively short time.
During each half-hour lesson, you will actually converse with two people, using the type of language spoken by educated citizens in their everyday business and social life. The program's unique method for presenting dialogue relieves you of most common learning problems.
Does the Pimsleur Method emphasize a core vocabulary?
Absolutely. Language can be divided into two distinct categories: grammatical structures (function words) and concrete vocabulary (content words). By focusing on function words and enabling the student to comprehend and employ the structure of a new language, Dr. Pimsleur found that language learners were able to more readily put new knowledge to use.
There are very few content words that are used every day. The essential core of a language involves function words, which tend to relate to human activities.
How does the buy back work? Do I have to buy something else to qualify?

What are the details for the Price Guarantee?
We will beat the price of any legitimate online Pimsleur reseller excluding Ebay vendors. Our price beat guarantee includes our buy back offer of $120 per comprehensive set. For example, if a competitor is selling a Comprehensive Pimsleur product for $152.00 (versus our ~$154.00 price), our buy back offer of $100 must be subtracted from the competitor's sale amount before an additional discount is given to beat the price.
What happens if my Shipment is Missing?
If a shipment is not received by the customer, the Ultimate Language Store should be contacted to ensure that the shipment is tracked or a replacement is issued for the missing set. A refund cannot be issued if a replacement set has been offered to the customer.
